Wai Wai was poorly cared for by his previous owner since he was young, resulting in multiple hospital visits due to heatstroke and external injuries. The previous owner later discovered that he had a dislocated pelvis, which caused him to limp and prevented him from walking normally, leading to the decision to abandon him.
After arriving at the shelter, we sought medical help for Wai Wai multiple times, but no doctor was willing to take on his treatment (due to the complexity of the surgery and low success rate, along with the need to order parts from abroad). Therefore, we are currently scheduling an appointment with another specialist in hopes of helping Wai Wai's condition. He now needs to take glucosamine and anti-inflammatory pain medication long-term.
