Three-legged Little Wong (F, ~ 3 years old when rescued, suffered from heartworm)

Our strong, brave, and cheerful little Wong... When he was rescued, he had been chained up since he was a puppy, so he was uncoordinated and didn’t know how to walk, plus he suffered from heartworm.

After two months of treatment and care, he’s now walking really well and steadily! I remember two months ago, he was so eager to explore the world but kept falling down. Then he would look at us all awkwardly, like a child who had done something wrong. But soon enough, he would get up and try again… 💪🏻

He’s always smiling, wanting to keep up with his buddies, never compromising or giving up. He doesn’t care at all about his imperfections. 👍

Before, the side effects of the heartworm medication were really severe, and he had to be rushed to the hospital, but he pulled through…
