Mei Mei BB (F; ~1 yr old when rescued)

Mei Mei BB was born in December 2019 and is a "battle-ready little princess" who escaped from the clutches of death. When she was just two months old, she fell seriously ill and was taken to three different hospitals within two days. We pleaded with the nurses to prioritize her as a critical case, and ultimately, Mei Mei BB was given the chance to be rescued. At that time, her red blood cell count had dropped to single digits, and I still remember how long the wait for a blood transfusion felt.

By the second day of her hospitalization, she had become the center of attention in the ward because she was so noisy. Finally, on the third day of the transfusion, her red blood cell count rose from 6.7 to 30 and remained stable, allowing us to breathe a sigh of relief.

Throughout the entire process, Mei Mei BB’s big eyes seemed to firmly tell us, "I will survive!"
