Bullet (M; ~3 yrs old when rescued; stray dog)

On New Year's Day 2019, Bullet was reunited with his sister, Little Black.

In Sheung Shui, a group of kind-hearted neighbors takes turns feeding stray animals every day. In early November 2018, they discovered two unfamiliar puppies in a public parking lot, "watching" from a distance. These were the brown Bullet and the blackish Little Black, estimated to be about five months old at the time.

The two puppies would only step out and devour their meals after confirming that no one was nearby. However, in early December, Bullet was injured, suffering a large wound on his back near his tail. Fortunately, Kent from the rescue team saved him and took him to the hospital, where it was diagnosed that he had been hit by a car, resulting in a fractured femur that required surgery. He would also need to take glucosamine and chondroitin long-term. After the surgery, the neighbors didn’t want him to be a stray again, so they decided to entrust his care to the shelter, but the two siblings were separated.

Little Black, who was left to wander the streets alone, unfortunately, was captured by the Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department on December 27. Her desperate cries alarmed the neighbors, who once again initiated a rescue operation. Five days later, on January 1, they redeemed Little Black from the AFCD dog pound. At that time, she was so terrified that she was trembling, crying, whimpering, and had lost control of her bladder.

Later, the shelter took in Little Black as well, allowing her to reunite with Bullet, where they could live together safely, warmly, and happily.
